Product Realization
Rocket Composites has integrated a systematic approach to bring your product to life. A new project will typically follow these 6 steps of development:
Project Feasibility
Project Feasibility
Our team reviews the scope of the project, including reviewing any initial drawings or prototypes available. We discuss your unique requirements, specifications, as well as conduct a Risk Assessment on the project to determine if the project can benefit from our Services. ROM pricing is provided. Rocket Composites does not charge for this evaluation.
3D Modeling
3D Modeling
We use the latest modeling software to bring your idea into 3D space. Preliminary changes can be easily made to refine the design, and preliminary performance can be evaluated.
Design Prototyping
Design Prototyping
This may take on many forms including 3D printing, machining, or a number of other methods can be used to produce a 3D solid model. With this model, multiple revisions may be required to optimize design which can be updated within the CAD files. Revisions are made if necessary.
Tooling & Processes
Tooling & Processes
Using the finalized CAD, molds are designed specifically for the manufacturing process which best suits the project requirements. The proposed process will take into consideration tolerances, volume, set-up cost, part cost, lead time, as well as the specifications previously discussed in the Product Feasibility phase. Plugs and molds are produced and will typically be owned by the customer and stored in our facility.

Continual Improvement
Continual Improvement
Throughout the lifecycle of production, changes in requirements, technology, and costs will be analyzed regularly, and refinements can be implemented as necessary.
